What we do

How we build for access

Keyboard navigation

Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.

Colour contrast

Text and interface elements are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios.

Reduced motion

Animations are disabled automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.

Tap targets

Buttons and links are sized for touch, at least 44 by 44 pixels.

Semantic markup

Headings, landmarks, labels and tables are marked up so screen readers can navigate properly.

Text sizing

The site reflows and stays usable when text is enlarged.

Not perfect

Known limitations

Accessibility is ongoing rather than finished. Where we fall short, we would rather say so.

Third-party content

Some features rely on outside providers, including our bank connection step. We raise issues with them but do not control their code.

Older documents

Any PDF published before this statement may not be fully tagged. Ask us and we will supply an accessible version.

We do not use overlays

Accessibility overlay widgets often make things worse for screen reader users. We fix the underlying code instead.
